MEMBERSHIP & DONATIONS :
The Friends of the Kyle Line relies on donations from the public and local businesses, without which generosity the organisation would cease to exist. The monies gathered go directly to marketing the line and maintaining the 'Friends' and not the volunteers who give of their valuable time attending meetings, lobbying councils, rail companies and political bodies, producing printed materials, designing flyers and posters and of course raising awareness generally about the fragility of the Kyle Line.
Any sum of money is welcomely received; school children give a pound of their pocket money and businesses donate cheques of a larger amount.
Artifacts for the museum are also accepted. They should have a railway theme or a historical connection to the Lochalsh area.
Lastly and most importantly you can donate your time and skill. The 'Friends' are always looking for members who can use their training or talent to good use within the organisation. Musicians, architects, politicians, bankers, caterers, shopkeepers and artists are all current members.
HOW TO GIVE :
You can hand in small or cash donations at Kyle Railway Museum in person or send a cheque by post to the Friends of the Kyle Line at the address shown at the bottom of every page on the website.
